The Open Chess Menorca event had its third run, thanks to support from the FIDE Aid Package. It was held in Ciutadella de Menorca, Spain; a beautiful location. The venue was the 4-star MarSenses Paradise Club. The event was staged over five days, from April 02-07, 2024. Interestingly, Indian players won all three editions of the Menorca Open.
Some big chess world names such as Arjun Erigaisi, Nihal Sarin (both India), Vladimir Fedoseev (Slovenia), Hans Niemann (USA) and Jorden Van Foreest (Netherlands), were among the 300 participants.
