Championship Format

• Classical Games: The match comprises 14 classical games. Players receive 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 minutes for the rest of the game, and a 30-second increment starting from move 41.
• Winning Conditions: A player must score 7.5 points to win. If the score is tied after 14 games, a series of tiebreaks will determine the winner.

Tiebreaks

1. Four rapid games (15 minutes per side with a 10-second increment).
2. If still tied, two rapid games (10 minutes per side with a 5-second increment).
3. Followed by two blitz games (3 minutes per side with a 2-second increment).
4. If needed, single blitz games will be played until one player wins​

Prize Money

• The total prize pool is $2.5 million.
• Players earn $200,000 for each game they win during the classical match.
• The remaining prize money is shared equally if the match concludes within the classical format.
• If a tiebreak decides the winner:
  • Winner: $1.3 million.
  • Runner-up: $1.2 million​
