FIDE December 2024 : Rating List

The world’s top 10 chess rankings for December 2024 remained largely unchanged, but a new milestone was achieved.

Arjun Erigaisi crossed the prestigious 2800 Elo rating, becoming only the 15th player in chess history to accomplish this remarkable feat. The young Indian prodigy gained two rating points during the 2024 Chennai Grand Masters, which was just enough to secure his place in the exclusive 2800 club.

This achievement solidifies Arjun’s position as one of the brightest talents in the chess world and underscores India’s growing influence in the global chess arena.
