• In the latest update of the world chess rankings, the No. 1 spot continues to be held by GM Magnus Carlsen with a remarkable rating of 2832. Carlsen, who has dominated the chess world for years, remains the player to beat as he continues to showcase his unparalleled skills and strategic prowess.
• GM Hikaru Nakamura made headlines by crossing the 2800 rating points threshold during the Norway Chess Tournament, propelling him to the second spot in the world rankings above follow countrymate Fabiano Caruana. Nakamura’s performance has been nothing short of spectacular, earning him a well-deserved place among the elite.
• Indian chess prodigies have also made significant strides in the rankings. GM Erigaisi Arjun made an impressive leap from 8th to 4th place in the World Top 100, now holding a rating of 2778. This remarkable achievement highlights Arjun’s growing influence and potential in the global chess arena.
• GM Gukesh D, has secured the 7th position in the Top 100 players with a rating of 2763.
